Challenger Middle School Mission
To provide an exemplary education that develops critical thinking and problem-solving skills which inspire our students to challenge their minds and charge their spirits.
Principal's Corner
Hello Challenger Chargers & Families!
It's crazy to think that we're already past the 100-day mark for the 2023-2024 school year. As we embark on the month of February, I wanted to take a moment to update you on some important upcoming events and share some valuable information.
Firstly, I want to express my appreciation for the continued dedication and hard work of our students. The commitment to academic excellence and personal growth that I witness each day is truly commendable. I am proud to be a part of a community that values education and strives for success.
Interim reports will be distributed on February 7th, providing a snapshot of your child's academic progress thus far. This serves as an opportunity for reflection and discussion between students, parents, and teachers. If you have any concerns or questions about your child's interim report, please do not hesitate to reach out to the respective teachers or our guidance counselors. We are here to support the success of every student.
In addition to academic updates, I would like to highlight some exciting events taking place in February. Our school Spelling Bee and Valentine's Dance are fast approaching, and our soccer teams have been hard at work preparing for our upcoming games. We hope to see our Challenger Chargers supporting our soccer teams, as well as having some deserved fun at our other school events.
Kindly,
Stacia Winfree
Principal - Challenger Middle

Class Pet of the Month
Nagini the Corn Snake
Nagini the Corn Snake resides in Mrs. Wilke's Reading/Global Perspectives class and is a favorite of student's. She got her namesake from the infamous snake in Harry Potter that is pet to the main antagonist. Our Nagini is pretty chill though, nothing like her book/movie counterpart. She spends most of her time hanging out in her rock hideaway or can occasionally be found chilling under her water dish. She can be fairly shy, but is also curious and loves to watch the students do their work sometimes. She does love being held as she is a big fan of body heat, and she'll just chill wrapped around your hand or arm for however long you want.
New Teacher Shout Out!
Mr. Moser
Mr. Moser or "Mr. G" has been around Challenger for two years now, but this is his first year teaching here - as last year he was a guest teacher very often. Although this is Mr. Moser's first year teaching at Challenger, he has 12 years of experience teaching at colleges. His favorite things to do in his free time include watching sports, hanging out with friends, and working out. When asked what his favorite part of being a teacher and he told us that it's watching the students become better human beings. We are grateful to have a teacher like Mr. Moser here at Challenger Middle!
